Diesel Fleet Shop Supervisor - Second Shift

Now hiring for a Shop Supervisor at our Louisville, KY terminal (LAP)

SECOND SHIFT - Monday - Friday 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., must be available for occasional weekend work.

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working individual who wants to develop and grow with our company. We currently have an opening for a parts/shop supervisor for our shop/fleet of Class 8 Trucks in Louisville, KY.

Job Duties
• Will manage/supervise a shift of 6-8 mechanics daily
• Inventorying, ordering, receiving, organizing, charging parts
• Managing inventory levels
• Utilize national accounts to purchase parts at lowest cost
• Work with parts and repairs vendors to ensure timely receipt of parts
• Close service and repair orders in a timely manner
• Ensure timely communication regarding vehicle repair status
• Coordinate roadside breakdown repairs, status updates, and contact vendors
• Complete expense tracking paperwork in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with DOT/MOT regulations, as applicable
• Ensure mandated inspections are completed in a timely manner
• Create, update, and review maintenance procedures daily

Requirements

• Great organizational skills
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to move 75-100 lbs. several times a day
• Administrative skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred
• Class 8 Truck Repair Shop Supervision required (5 years experience preferred)
• Experience with tractor-trailer / Semi Truck parts
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment
• Excellent customer service skills and experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Working knowledge and understanding of DOT/MOT regulations
