As an Operations Supervisor, you will coordinate and/or perform day-to-day terminal activities related to building, adjusting and dispatching loads; maintain optimal staffing levels; help maintain and approve driver payroll records; and ensure safety and quality compliance.

Essential Functions:

• Build and adjust loads as required; ensure consistency with Load Factor and Load Efficiency
• Supervise vehicle loading process; provide direction as needed; ensure compliance with loading procedures
• Dispatch loads
• Update and maintain inventory and load data on a daily basis
• Address quality and safety claims; report trends; ensure timely resolution
• Manage purchase orders daily
• Provide initial and on-going training for Drivers
• Ensure compliance with the company's safety & quality procedures and OSHA/CCOHS/DOT/MOT regulations, as applicable
• Work closely with Dispatchers and Network Planning Department to ensure loads are shipped in a timely manner
• Provide timely, accurate transit documentation and reports
• Participate in company safety training and ensure employee participation
• Track employee time; approve Driver trips and make necessary adjustments; submit for payroll processing in a timely manner, as applicable

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 or more years' relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Working knowledge of computers and programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to obtain CPR
