This position requires a strong willed person who has experience managing personnel.

Essential Functions
* Ensure driver loads are consistent with equipment capacity, Load Factor and Load Efficiency standards
* Audit load efficiency and compliance with DOT/MOT regulations
* Ensure driver assignments are properly documented; ensure compliance with assignment
* Ensure drop sequence is clear to driver and obtain driver acknowledgement/agreement
* Update load planners regarding available equipment for future shipments

Requirements

  •  High school graduate or equivalent 

  • 3 + years' dispatch experience, including management in a union environment

  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and customer service skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills

  • Working knowledge of computers and programs to include Microsoft Office

  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Solid working knowledge of DOT/MOT/JWC regulations
