Job Summary:
Coordinate activities related to breakdown and repairs for tractors and trailers, including administrative duties to support these tasks.

Essential Functions:
• Provide instructions to drivers regarding breakdown procedures
• Communicate effectively via phone and email with vendors regarding breakdowns and repairs
• Hire vendors to make repairs for trailers and tractors
• Report breakdowns and completion of repairs to shops and terminals
• Track breakdowns and down time
• Manage repair process to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Create activity reports
• Issue payments to vendors
• Manage warranty process

*Must be willing to adapt to schedule changes for business needs that could include weekends* Possible scheduling could be Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2-4 years experience in a maintenance environment or transportation industry
• Must be comfortable in office environment, sitting for long extensive periods
• Attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Basic knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations
• Sound working knowledge of the mechanics of Class 8 tractor/trailers and mechanic background preferred
