Essential Functions
Provide instructions to drivers regarding breakdown procedures.
Communicate effectively via phone and email with vendors regarding breakdowns and repairs.
Hire vendors to make repairs for trailers and tractors.
Report breakdowns and completion of repairs to shops and terminals.
Track breakdowns and down time.
Manage repair process to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
Create activity reports.
Issue payments to vendors.
Manage warranty process.

Requirements

Requirements


High school graduate or equivalent

2 -- 4 years' experience in a maintenance environment or an equivalent combination of experience and training

Excellent organization and communication skills

Attention to detail

Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook

Basic knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations

Sound working knowledge of the mechanics of Class 8 tractor/trailers and mechanic background preferred
