Job Description
Summary of Duties: Interpret logistics elements, including availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, distribution, inventory management, or transportation. Develop and maintain mathematical and linear programming models for logistical use. Estimate costs and forecast demand. Organize, update, analyze, and maintain logistics database. Generate database logics and queries to preprocess model information and aid in automating processes. Create a matrix to manage current customer volume and prospective customers. Adjust and tune models to affect current business needs, including additional optimization parameters. Prepare OEM reports on logistics performance measures. Apply data analysis to customer-specific logistic performance reporting. Collaborate with management on determining ways to optimize service levels. Maintain supply chain efficiency and/or minimize costs. Create reports and maps referenced by management to advise field staff on logistics efficiency opportunity. Insert Excel macros into KPI management tool for monitoring. Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes and will cross train with other team members to provide backup support, as needed. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.

Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, Business Analyst, or related experience. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field of study plus no experience. Requires knowledge or experience with: Microsoft Power BI or similar visualization tools; SQL Server or MS Access; Python programming or similar programming languages; Experience with statistical data analysis tools and software; Microsoft Excel; Project Planning; Project Management Professional; Microsoft
Visio; Resource Allocation. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training. Experience may be gained concurrently through graduate level course work and/or internships.
