Now hiring a Diesel Fleet Shop Supervisor at our shop in Flint, MI!

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working individual who wants to develop and grow with our company. We are currently looking for a parts/shop supervisor for our shop/fleet of Class 8 Trucks in Flint, MI.

Job Duties
1. Will manage/supervise a shift of mechanics daily
2. Inventorying, ordering, receiving, organizing, and charging parts
3. Managing inventory levels
4. Utilize national accounts to purchase parts at lowest cost
5. Work with parts and repairs vendors to ensure timely receipt of parts
6. Close service and repair orders in a timely manner
7. Ensure timely communication regarding vehicle repair status
8. Coordinate roadside breakdown repairs, status updates, and contact vendors
9. Complete expense tracking paperwork in a timely manner
10. Ensure compliance with DOT/MOT regulations, as applicable
11. Ensure mandated inspections are completed in a timely manner
12. Create, update, and review maintenance procedures daily

Schedule:
1. Shift could possibly be second shift with hours 1:30p to 10p
2. Monday to Friday, occasional weekends
3. Weekend availability

Experience:
1. Maintenance Supervisor: 3 years (Preferred)
2. Diesel Technician: 3 years (Preferred)
3. Management: 3 years (Preferred)

Requirements

1. Great organizational skills
2. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
3. Must be able to move 75-100 lbs. several times a day
4. Administrative skills
5. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred
6. Class 8 Truck repair Shop Supervision required (5 years experience preferred)
7. Experience with tractor-trailer / Semi Truck parts
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills
9. Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment
10. Excellent customer service skills and experience
11. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
12. Working knowledge and understanding of DOT/MOT regulations
